CalHealth has three issued U.S. patents:

  • The '890 patent is the fundamental patent that protects the general concept of employing a health measurement device in a computer mouse and extending the device from the mouse to measure a health parameter. It also covers the use of a finger cuff contained in a computer mouse to measure blood pressure.
  • The '163 patent covers the same concept using a wrist cuff in a mouse to measure blood pressure.
  • The '360 patent covers the finger cuff actually employed in the CalHealth blood pressure device sold under the registered trademark MDMouse. CalHealth has been issued patents on its MDMouse product in many foreign countries as well.
